Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and we’re already seeing our Twitter feed fill up with lots of delicious, heart melting edible creations. After the January lull, Valentines is the first event in which to bring customers back to your bakery counters so it’s important to get the right products and make a fantastic impression.
For small business it can be difficult to produce seasonal lines which both cost money and time; however we suggest that with a few simple steps you can take full advantage of this event. Gone are the days when flowers and chocolates will suffice and your customers are sure to be looking for a unique way to impress their Valentines and we can assure you the way to their heat will be through their stomachs!
If you produce cupcakes, add a swirl of pink or red food colouring to your frosting, dip your biscuits with chocolate or add some pretty heart sprinkles to your doughnuts and with very little effort you have a valentine’s range of products.
Having chosen your range it’s important that through your window displays you attract the customers inside, produce some POS and showcase your valentines range. We suggest putting this up three to four weeks before the event so you capture those who love the novelty of your new bakes and will buy right up until the event, or for those last minute shoppers, who have been walking past your window each day and enter to buy for their loved one.
We’ve put together some of our favourite romantic creations that we’ve spotted on Twitter to help inspire you to add a touch of romance to your classics.
